Obituary of Louis Stanley Miller

Louis Stanley Miller was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 31, 1953. He was the son of Wallace Junior Miller and Verna Marion (Gailbreath) Miller. Louis attended Jefferson Schools. He married the former Darleen LaVigne on September 3, 1983 at Faith Lutheran Church in Monroe. Louis was an extremely hard worker and took very seriously his commitment to provide for his family. He was employed at Supreme Bumper working as a Hi-Lo Driver and Foreman for twenty-eight years. He retired from these positions in 2005. Not one to sit around Louis continued employment operating his own lawn company and later worked for Monica’s Baker Boy as a delivery driver. Louis was a wonderful and loving husband and father. He cherished the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed his classic cars and attending car cruises and was the President of the Monroe Mi Good Time Cruisers car club for thirteen years. He loved camping with family and friends and cherished these times together. Louis Stanley Miller, age 64, of Monroe passed away at 9:34pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor. His passing was preceded by both of his parents and a sister: June Rose Henson. To cherish his memory Louis leaves his beloved wife of thirty-three years: Darleen Miller of Monroe; two daughters: Angela (Nicholas) Prush of Carleton and Melissa (Michael) Buchanan of Monroe; one son: Cody (Stephanie) Miller of Dundee; one sister: Eileen (Robert) Bundy of LaSalle; one brother: John Norman (Jeannie) Miller of Monroe; four grandchildren: Alexa, Ella, Nicholas II, Alexander; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 7:00pm with Dr. Joseph Byrd pastor of Stewart Road Church of God officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family.
