Obituary of Carol Jane Williams

Carol Jane Dansbury was born 12/28/1957 to the late William and the late Emma Dansbury. She was the fourth of five children, the youngest girl. She graduated from Denby High School in Detroit. She met the love of her life, Michael Williams, Sr., while working at Burger King. They were married on May 21, 1983. She spent the last 20+ years of her adult life at Sally’s Beauty Supply as a manager. She loved to sew and knit and spent her last year of life making keepsakes for her grandchildren and her “adopted” grandchildren as well as other family members. She could be found watching the Food Network, even when food no longer appealed to her, HGTV, and The Big Bang Theory. She loved to cook, and was known for her “concoctions”, recipes she threw together with what she had available. She fought bravely for the last two years, fighting pancreatic cancer, never once losing hope and pushing through chemo like a warrior. She often approached life challenges with the same fighter mentality. She cherished family and was known to many as a kind, caring, giving person. She was selfless, giving more than taking, and encouraged her family to always put family first, to love each other no matter what. Her friends will remember this same caring nature, especially her beloved Sally’s girls and close friends. She will be missed by all but her memory will live on through those who loved her most.
