Life Story of

Betty Nadine Johnson was born in Benham, Kentucky on October 28, 1929. She was one of twelve children born from the union of the late Daniel and the late Della (McCarty) Roop. Betty married the love of her life, Ralph Johnson, on August 11, 1951 in River Rouge, Michigan. From this union came the birth of a daughter. She supported her family working as a certified nursing assistant for over fifty years, finally taking retirement in 2007. Betty worked for a long time because of the enjoyment she gained from helping others. She was simply a good hearted southern girl. Betty lived for the moments spent with her family, friends and grandchildren. Betty enjoyed going camping with her daughter and the long hours fishing while there. She took many trips to the casino to play some slots, and never passed up a chance to play a round of cards. Betty enjoyed some good games of bingo and trying her luck at the occasional scratch off ticket. Betty Johnson, age 87, passed away at 8:07 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Medilodge of Monroe.
