Dorothy Marie Harris was born in Monroe on May 25, 1954. She was one of eight children born of the union of the late JC and the late Gladys Marie (Sullivan) Bray. She attended Monroe High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1974. Dorothy married the love of her life, Arley Harris, on April 14, 1988. Sadly, he passed away on February 4, 2012. From their union came the birth of seven children. Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Bray. When Dorothy was not at the casino with her sister, she liked to play slot games on Facebook. She was also a regular at bingo. Dorothy was an avid Tigers fan and loved watching and going to their games. She liked people watching and spending time at the Monroe VFW, Meijer, and several other places. Dorothy’s favorite thing, however, was spending time with her dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When she was not busy with her other activities, you could always find her sitting on her front porch. Dorothy will be remembered most as being very loyal to her friends and family.
