Obituary of Margaret Mary Waltbillig

December 28, 1941 – July 23, 2016 Margaret Mary Bost was born in Monroe, Michigan on December 28, 1941. She is the daughter of the late Herman E. “Ed” and the late Jennie L. (Siterlet) Bost. Margaret married the love of her life, John Waltbillig Sr., on August 19, 1961 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Carleton, Michigan. From this union came the birth of four wonderful children, in which she stayed home to take care of. Margaret was a loving and affectionate woman to all. She was giving of herself to others and her family. She was an avid volunteer at the Lions Den Thrift Store in Temperance. Margaret always had a stockpile of candy and treats to give those who came to visit her, often she would send you home with clothing and miscellaneous items in addition to. Margaret enjoyed the time spent at home with her family more than anything. In her spare time, she spent hours baking and crocheting. Margaret enjoyed bowling with her husband for many years, often participating in area leagues. She dedicated her entire life as a strong Christian woman, and regularly attended church. Margaret M. Waltbillig, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:27pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents. To cherish her memory, Margaret leaves her husband of fifty-four years: John Henry Waltbillig Sr. of Lambertville, one daughter: Laura M Edison; three sons: John (Angel) Waltbillig Jr., Robert (Rebecca) Waltbillig, and Richard A (April) Waltbillig; siblings: Jim (Jackie) Bost, Barb Doster, Rick(Hiromi) Bost, Kathy(Les) Burnett, Loretta(Dave) Burnette, Dorothy(Bill) Costello, Edith(Sam) Frank, Sharon(Sam)Arnato; grandchildren: Courtney (Brett), Jordan (Keenan) Shane, Jestin, Travis, Hanna, Preston, Richard II, William, Lily, Kelsie, and Lannie; and a great-grandson: Rhys. Friends may gather from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street Monroe, (734)384-5185. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm with Pastor Rick Satterfield of Spirit of Truth Church officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe (734)384-5185. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Lions Club of Temperance.
