Obituary of Jimmy Lee Webb

Jimmy Lee Webb was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on December 25, 1951 and graduated from Middlesboro High School with the class of 1969. He married the love of his life the former Phyllis Evans on May 20, 1969 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. From this union would come two beautiful children. Jimmy received his Vocational Certificate in welding from Henry Ford Community College in 1976 and supported his family employed as a Welder at Ford Motor Company for thirty-five years, retiring in 2008. Jimmy had quite the sense of humor and was known for telling a good story. He and Phyllis enjoyed taking friends and family along the shores of Lake Michigan to their cabin where riding the dunes and fishing on the pontoon boat at Silver Lake became their passion. As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed the Detroit Lions and Tigers, but his favorite was watching Big Time Wrestling. He also liked going to the casino and seeing a movie on the big screen. Most of all, he loved his family and cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always looked forward to hosting gatherings where he could prepare his famous BBQ. In his quiet time, Jimmy could be found tinkering in the garage wood crafting or making yard ornaments. Jimmy Lee Webb, age 64 of Newport passed away at 12:29am on Friday, July 1, 2016 at his home.
