Misty Ann Grigsby

Misty Ann Grigsby, 34-years-young, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, peacefully after her valiant fight with cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through her last hours.

Misty was born in Fort Ogelthorpe, Georgia to Thomas and Linda Womack on November 4, 1982. She is the eldest of three children - sister, Teila and brother, Thomas - who reside in Rossville, GA.

Misty and Billy married in Georgia on January 17, 2005. After the birth of their children they moved to Monroe, Michigan; Billy's hometown. Misty was a valued and beloved employee at Custer elementary school where all of her children attended.

After her diagnosis in 2016, Misty began her 17 month battle with cancer. Through it all she continued to fight and have unwavering faith in God. After giving her all to fighting she surrendered her life over to God, knowing he was leading her into a place of peace.
